Web Configuration is where teachers can edit their teacher websites. This includes updating and managing announcements, events, online resources, documents for download, picture galleries, homework for download, and student portfolios. Parents will view this information in the Parental Portal of RenWeb.
To access Web Configuration, select "Web Configuration" on the purple navigational menu on the left side of your screen.
Announcements:
1. Click New to add a new announcement.
-You also have the option to "Save" or "Delete" an announcement as well.
2. Begin-End dates are when your announcement will show to parents. For example if you have a test coming up on 2/1/13 you may want the announcement to show from 1/20/13 to 2/1/13.
Calendar: This is where you will select an actual date to add an event to your calendar.
Resources: Add links to helpful sites by using the site's URL address.
Syllabus: This could be used for a materials list, syllabus, or class welcome letter.
Note: These documents will only be available for viewing and not for downloading. That is what separates "syllabus" from "web documents."
Web Documents: This is where you will upload documents for parents and students to download at home.
1. Select "Add New Document" to upload a new document to your site.
2. Add "File Name"
3. Add "Caption"
4. Select Begin-End date to configure when this document will be available for download.
Picture Gallery: You can upload photos here for a site gallery or slideshow.
Note: Parents cannot download or save these photos, and you can only upload one at a time.

-Hyperlink makes a photo link to another website when clicked. For instance a photo of your student winning Google Science Project could link to the Google Science Project article about that student.
3. By "Grouping" a photo you can make it the gallery cover or just another gallery photo.
